Oregon Fire Resources (Local)
We’ve provided resources below for those in need and those who’d like to help
River Valley and the Redwood Campus (2193 Midway Ave) is ready and on standby if and when another GP shelter is needed. We also have three buses and a van (along with drivers) if and when we need to evacuate people from the Cave Junction area.
Phoenix/Talent Fire Response
We need volunteer teams who will assist homeowners in sifting through the ashes of their burned down homes to recover treasured belongings while sharing the love of Christ as we serve in Jesus’ Name. This would be a great opportunity for Life Groups to serve together for some productive fellowship. Think about the joy you can bring these families as you help to bring closure. Please visit the site here if interested in serving!
One other BIG need is for chaplains. We are looking for at least two First Responder Chaplains and as many Community Help Chaplains that we can get. The community chaplains don't need to be pastors but must be able to share the gospel and listen well. The healing process cannot start until they can share their story. What a wonderful opportunity for us to listen to them and share the hope within us.
To sign up for being a chaplain contact Fred Saada here at fsaada@thechaplainsolution.com.
GP Shelters

> Gateway Adventist Church (4335 Williams Hwy, Grants Pass)
They can take RVs, trailers, tents and any donations!
> Grace Baptist Church (4233 East Evans Creek Road, Rogue River)
They have comfortable air mattresses, hot food and lots of love. Pets are welcome.

There are a lot of anxious people in the Rogue Valley who need help now! Here are a few ways you can make a difference:

-United Way of Jackson County is collecting donations that will be geared toward longer-term recovery for families impacted by the fires.
-American Red Cross volunteers are helping those evacuated from wildfires at different evacuation points throughout the state and can always use volunteers. The Red Cross also accepts cash donations on its website.
