The primary environment for ministry to men at River Valley is in one of the many Home Groups that are available. A Home Group is a small fellowship of about 10-20 people (different ages, gender, marital status, etc.) that meets weekly to help one another grow in faith. The beauty of this is that men can spend time together without having to be apart from their families one night a week.  In these Home Groups, men are encouraged to meet together (sometimes as men only) inside the group meeting to focus more specifically on the unique spiritual issues that men face. The men are also encouraged to spend time together outside of the Home Group meeting doing the things that they decide to do together (recreation, sports, activities, etc.).

There are also Men’s Retreats and special events that take place throughout the year.  Again, the main strategy is to help the men in Home Groups grow stronger together in the Lord, and, to add new men (and their families) into Home Groups.

Men at River Valley are encouraged to plug into one of our volunteer service/ministry opportunities. One of the best ways to get involved is by being a contributor alongside of others. Please pick up a Ministry Opportunity Catalog at the Information Center or in the church office and prayerfully consider a place to serve that fits your available time, skills, and desires.
