Local Outreach

We believe that God has called each of us to reach out with the love of Jesus to our neighbors, business associates and co-workers, people in the marketplace, and all others we come in contact with on a daily basis.  We are calling this Operation Grants Pass and we encourage Home Groups and individual families to have PRAYER, to CARE, and to SHARE with people desperate for a relationship with a Living God. 

International Outreach

River Valley is a missions-focused church with a rich history, that provides opportunities for first-hand missions experience for everyone. We believe that every follower of Jesus Christ can be thoroughly equipped to carry-out a significant aspect of the Great Commission - both locally and cross-culturally.  We call this “Across the Street and Around the World” and both are of equal importance.

Presently we support 17 full-time, international workers.  In 2006 we sent out our first Church-based team of three RVCC families to Central Asia.  Our desire is to go first to those peoples of the World who have not heard of God's good news even once yet. 

We also believe that God has called all of us to the World as both Senders and Goers.  In addition to the full time missionaries we have also sent out thirty-one short term teams and many individuals.  Our teams have served in varied ministries including building, medical and dental, evangelistic and prayer and vision teams.   We have also sent four teams in the last year to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  Over 300 people have gone from River Valley on short term teams during this time.
