Weekly Ministries:

• Green Acres Sunday School (Birth - Pre-K):  Classes are provided during our Saturday and Sunday services with the purpose of encouraging our children to grow and develop a relationship with Jesus as their personal Savior.  During our 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11:11 a.m. services, our 3-5 year old children meet together at Green Acres, a little country farm house where skits, music, drama and puppets are used to teach the Word of God in a theater setting with a practical application.  Contact Stephanie Nugenti 476-7761.

• Calico Street (Kindergarten - 3rd Grade, contact Denise Oden 476-7761):  On Saturday evening 6 p.m. and Sunday 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11:11 a.m. services, our K-3rd grade children meet in a little western town called Calico Street.  This is a Christ centered ministry that presents messages from God's Word through the use of skits, music, puppetry and Small Group discussions.  Children are taught to look up verses and encouraged to develop for themselves the joy of reading and studying their Bible.

• Kids 4 Christ (4th & 5th Grades, contact Lynn Kremer 476-7761):  Saturday night at 6 p.m., Sunday at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11:11 a.m., our 4th and 5th grade children enjoy being part of "Kids 4 Christ" where they get together in a relaxed atmosphere for a meaningful time of worship and insight into God's word.  A variety of special events are planned each month and kids are encouraged to bring their friends for a great time of fellowship. 
   
• Boy Scouts:  Teaching young men 11-18 years of age to learn to serve God, their families, and their country and to develop into responsible leaders.  For more information, contact Greg Armstrong, 471-1943.
  
  
• Special Needs: River Valley is privileged to be able to offer this ministry, which allows the families of special needs children to attend service, knowing their child is also hearing about Jesus.  If you are a family with children having special physical or mental needs, please call the Children’s Ministry office at 476-7761 to set up a time to meet together to enable us to minister effectively and personally to your child.
